National Agencies
ASI is keenly aware of the need to provide global information systems

enable national agencies to mitigate threats to the U.S. and its allies.
Public Sector
ASI’s staff of IT professionals has a proven record of supplying a range of
quality technical and support services to its commercial clients. ASI has met
its customer’s needs by delivering innovative software products and custom
software and data management solutions. In addition, ASI supplies quality
support services, including data entry, data conversion, customer support,
product evaluation, and training. ASI provides optimal solutions that are
technically sound and cost effective, while meeting today’s and tomorrow’s
engineering requirements. ASI has performed work for a variety of customers,
ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, including CSC,
KPMG Peat Marwick (now BearingPoint), Kaiser Permanente, and NCR.
Department of Defense (DoD)
ASI has extensive experience providing full lifecycle support to the DoD for
the development of software used in the fight against terrorism and related threats
to the United States DoD & Civilian personnel and facilities. ASI supports Joint
Service Programs that satisfy the information sharing needs of the Army, Navy, Air
Force, and Marines in addition to those of various DoD agencies. ASI software
engineers help design, code, test and implement critical DoD applications developed
in Unix and Microsoft® Windows® environments using Java, JavaScript, Java
Server Pages, HTML, JAVA Enterprise Editor, XML, Visual Basic, C/C++, and Unix
Shell Script. ASI database engineers support the design, development,
implementation, and population of DoD databases implemented
using DBMS technologies that include Oracle®, Sybase®
Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE), Sybase Replication
Server, Microsoft Access, and SQL. Additional ASI
responsibilities on DoD programs have included
system architecture development, configuration
management, documentation and customer support.
Civilian Agencies
ASI has successfully performed on a number
of efforts for civilian departments and agencies
of the U. S. government. ASI provided support for
the Department of Transportation’s (DoT’s) Surface
Transportation Board (STB) when it successfully
designed, developed, and implemented a Microsoft Access
relational database to track and report on all merger-related
documents, correspondence, telephone conversations, and environmental
analyses pertaining to railroad mergers. ASI also supplied the STB administrative
support staff for entry of merger information, filing, and other activities.
Previously, ASI database engineers supported the law enforcement community
by providing requirement analysis and conceptual and logical design support during
the preliminary design of the FBI’s ITN program. Responsibilities on the ITN effort
included use of the Cadre Teamwork CASE tool, in the HP/UNIX environment,
to create data elements, entity-relationship diagrams, relational table layouts, and
database specifications for the target Sybase database. Other ASI efforts for
civilian agencies included providing data entry support to the U. S. Department
of State’s Inspector General’s Office and doing the preliminary analysis for a data
warehouse for the U. S. Department of Interior’s (DOI’s) Office of Surface Mines.
